type. is a minimal and performance-focused typing test application designed to help you improve your typing speed and accuracy — without distractions.

It features real-time accuracy tracking, timed and word-based modes, live statistics, personal bests, and leaderboards to compete with others in the community.

Every test result is measured using true WPM (words per minute) calculation and precise accuracy tracking for consistency and fairness.

The Project

This project was built with Next.js, MongoDB, and NextAuth for authentication. It’s completely open-source and aims to provide a clean, fast, and distraction-free typing experience.

New features are regularly added — including detailed test history, performance graphs, and customizable test settings.
